DREAM MAKER

If we never reached to touch a rainbow,
Or grab the tail of a shooting star.
If always we stayed with our feet on the ground,
Always we would stay - just where we are.

The courage it takes to reach out for a dream,
To dare to trod the great unknown,
Is greater than the courage it takes to just sit,
Never a dream in this life to have sown.

Elusive is many a dream that came true,
A needle in a haystack of visions was found.
Discouraged by most as a too distant chance,
Of ever succeeding, their dreams too profound.

A dream maker gives to the rest of us hope,
Those dreams can come true if we reach high enough.
Ignoring the vast expanse of the far distant star,
The dream maker is made of just the right stuff.
