A CLAY SHACK IN GLORY

I’d rather have:

A clay shack in glory
Than a mansion on earth;
An eternity with Jesus,
The rewards of rebirth.

The cold ground to sleep on,
A rock for my head.
Than to sleep without Jesus
In a soft feather bed.

Stones in my pocket
Than coins of pure gold.
If I’m with my Jesus,
I have riches untold.

A lifetime of sorrow,
Than eternity without Christ.
The choice is so easy,
I needn’t think twice.

I’d rather have Jesus
In a clay shack in glory
Than to live with prince charming
In a mansion on earth.
