WHILE WEEPING

In times of broken-ness,
When life seems all in vain,
When life has lost all meaning
And all you feel is pain …

Remember this while weeping

A seed, not cracked, will never sprout.
No fruit seen on its vine,
No fruit upon the limbs of trees,
No grapes to make the wine.

When the rain is falling,
By way of tears and woe,
And you feel like running
As fast as you can go ...

Remember this while weeping

Though rain be all you know,
God soothes you with His love,
He sends the rain to help you grow,
The rain is sent from up above.

It’s when you’re injured that you learn
The value of a broken seed,
That now you’ll spout, for Him you’ll yearn,
You’ll live His Word: you’ll live by deed.

Remember this while weeping

You now feel empathy,
To God you’re seen to cling,
No longer only self you see,
This your broken-ness can bring…

Remember this while weeping…
Remember this while weeping.
