UNSEEN

I climb to higher ground
And seek the safety of the Lord.
No villains there for me to see,
Nor hatred or discord.
I reach to touch His gown of white
That flows to comfort me,
And the healing of that touch,
It sets my spirit free.
I walk in light shone down on me,
Through God’s unending grace,
And find that when He shines on me,
He fills that empty space.
I run and stumble, walk and sprint,
And all things in between,
But all the time, I take the hand,
Of one that is unseen.
