I’ll spring alive in yonder sky;
I’ll see the colored bow,
The reds and yellows I will see…
One distant tomorrow.
I’ll see my mind has been set free,
No weight upon my heart,
My burdens lifted off from me,
When from this earth depart.
My soul rejoice before the throne,
My spirit filled with song,
But I must wait upon the earth,
Though I for heaven long.
Within my mind, I’ll try to paint,
My world a color bright,
I’ll find the pallet lost inside,
And make my waiting light.
The colors of my mind now black,
I’ll paint a rainbow hue,
And find some heaven here on earth…
An act that’s over due.
