Remind me, Lord, to live today,
For life is but a whisper,
Let not a moment go unspent...
Nor precious vapors vanish.

Remind me, Lord, that time has wings,
Yesterdays forever gone,
Moments wasted not returned...
Let not this fact pass over me.

Remind me, Lord, to laugh today,
Remind me, Lord, to love,
Erase my heart of discontent...
Make light the mind and heart that weighs.

Remind me, Lord, you hold the stars,
Make eyes to see your glory,
Let not the world in which I live,
Snuff out your light within me.

Remind me, Lord, I'm not my own,
My life belongs to you,
And with each moment wasted...
Your gift of life rejected.
