HOPE IN THE DARKNESS

Why give credence to the darkness,
Though in life the mind will weigh,
Giving power to its vengeance,
Keeping light of God at bay?

How much longer will you wallow
In the dark where there's no hope,
Feed the night with lack of courage...
Stay in pit without a rope?

Pull the blinders off that bind you,
Loose from you the devil's rein,
Reach up high to grasp the light,
Don't within that state remain.

Is your mind holding you hostage,
Sinking you in deep despair,
While the evil one is laughing,
For it's he who set the snare.

A light shines in the darkness,
That it's there some aren't aware...
Try reaching out to grasp it...
Hold on fast and feel it there.
