TO FREE A HEART
The one who finds they cannot love,
Is like the dead grass on the ground.
They still exist but without life
And to themselves, alone are bound.
Within their heart, found bitter leaves,
And grains of life turned into stone.
When found without the means to love,
A man or woman’s found alone.
But love is like the days of spring
That brings new life within to see,
So where you find a heart of stone,
Just plant some love to set it free.
