WHY, LORD

So often in my life, I have prayed
In anguish and pleading, I would say,
“why, Lord? You have the power
to intervene, why don’t you, Lord?”

We will understand it all bye and bye,
Why He leaves us here to cry.
He will show us, why, oh why,
We remain in our pain, wanting to die.

Through the fires, we are refined,
“I chastise those who are mine”,
“Pick up your cross and follow me,
someday all will be revealed and you will see”.
