PERHAPS TOMORROW

Walk with me and talk awhile,
Drink with me the autumn air,
Hold my hand as we go strolling,
Give to me your time to share.

So great it’d be to still be young
And play among the fallen leaves.
I’d wear a sweater for the warmth
And you could wear your rolled-up sleeves.

Come with me, why do you sit?
The winter winds are soon to blow.
Let us walk and talk awhile,
Don’t let your answer be a no.

So quiet is the air at night,
Soft blowing of the trees.
Perhaps tomorrow you will walk,
Before the winters freeze.
