DREAM ASHES

A frightened feel is deep inside...
For I dare, chance, to dream again,
And when another one has failed …
I wonder what will happen then?

No more room to hold the ashes...
I find my mind’s already filled.
It may be best to let them die...
Not foolishly let pipe dreams build.

Many years gazing at rainbows
And hooking dreams on yonder stars,
Until the day I said, “No more”...
For broken dreams, they leave their scars.

But now I dare to dream again...
To risk another shattered dream,
And when it crashes...not a sound…
For dreams aflame don’t have a scream.
