DOUBT

Heart weary and storming heaven,

Seeking answers with soulful prayer,

But when the answer seemed to come,

I feared it temporary, not here to stay.

So often, prayers answered today

Were taken away tomorrow.

My faith grew faint with each one taken away,

Until I learned to see … answered prayer

Often comes in steps.

The heart is hard and slow to learn,

And man has been given the freewill to choose,

When the object of our prayer is a child,

We must be patient for answers to come.

Doubt entering in, showing lack of faith,

Will never move a mountain or a small hill,

For it is with faith that God answers prayer.

May I recognize when the answer comes.
