AUTUMN OF OUR LIFE

The chill that comes with autumn days,
Brings aching to the bones,
And visions soon ahead,
Of ever deepened snows.

The drinking in of morning sun
Will complement the dew,
And then the winter winds will blow
As autumn says adieu.

Forgotten be … the seasons past,
When spring has come anew,
And welcomes in the aging bones…
For heaven now to view.
