WINTER SO SOON?

Leaves are falling, turning shades of orange and red,
Just yesterday, summer blooms, leaves of green.
Soon, the Northern winds will bring the fall of snow,
Gusting fiercely, a North Eastern will fiercely blow.

I remember spring so well, I was young and so alive,
Where did it go? Soon summer had entered in;
Life’s pressures began to weigh, spring I knew was gone.
Fall, how did it come so fast? Can winter be far behind?

The seasons of our life, ever changing, time moving on,
Don’t know whether storm or calm will each season bring.
Winter flowers or summer rains, but always the hope of spring.
I know, when winter has passed, spring will bring new life.
