A new day is born, yesterday lies only in memory,
Tomorrow is just speculation, only the foolish go there.
Today has its’ own sorrow, don’t borrow
Tomorrow’s cares.
Refreshed and renewed I begin this day in prayer.
Hopelessness gives way to hope as the clouds roll away,
Once again faith is strong and despair a thing of yesterday.
God’s grace, like a rainbow after a storm, lifts the spirit, renews the soul.
A new day in Him, to start again, His love consoles.
Life’s a roller coaster, with its’ ups and downs,
Moments of happiness to grasp and to cherish,
Trials to learn from and wisdom to share;
Life’s not for the timid, of this I’m aware.
A new day, the gift of life to spend or to waste,
The wonders of God’s world to notice or ignore.
Another chance to do God’s work or for evil,
Free will to choose, a new day is yours……
But maybe, no more.
